Drawn in by the dramatic architecture of the Conference Center at Tamarack, its tempting food court aromas, art displays,
festival events and galleries keep its shoppers busy for hours.
For those early risers, the Greenbrier Shoppe has the coffee ready, as well as a variety of sweet treats, such as cookies, biscotti and pastries. If you’re ready for lunch, you're in for a real delight as the famous Greenbriar serves up a delicious lunch buffet at the food court.
After your hunger pains are gone, it's time to tour this remarkable facility. Along with the Beckley tourist information desk, a collection of shops include Tamarack's Jewelry and Apparel Department, the Dickinson Gallery of Arts and Crafts, plus five artisan studios.
A wide variety of music cds, self help books, children's stories and cookbooks fill the book department, while the Tamarack retail store is loaded with basketry, pottery and glassware. With visual temptations galore, everyone is drawn into the Gourmet Food Department where West Virginia's own Woodbine jellies and jams, honey, wines and fudge take center stage. One of the most unique aspects of the center allows visitors to watch the artists at work. Artisan studios house a variety of craftspeople who work on site. You may see textiles, pottery, wood carvings and glass pieces take shape before your eyes. You may even enjoy seeing your own piece of art come to life.
