The Gem State

   Idaho, a state that is large enough to cover two time zones and preserves the largest acreage of wilderness land in the Lower 48 states, easily entices adventure-loving visitors. With 16,000 miles of wild rivers and streams, 11 national forests, and countless miles of scenic drives, it's easy to imagine a wild vacation in Idaho.
   One of America's most rural states, with 40 percent of the land covered in forest and over 100 named mountain ranges, Idaho is known the world over for its marvelous outdoors recreation. This diverse land and spectacular scenery is sure to entertain photographers, campers, anglers, backpackers, hunters, whitewater runners, sightseers, and wildlife watchers.
