Scenic USA - Georgia Aska Road Ramble |

Heading south from Blue Ridge, Georgia, Aska Road is full of ups and downs and a few twists and turns until it reaches the Toccoa River Valley. Here in the northern Georgia mountains several cities and a dozen small towns fill the hollows and the few level valleys. The town of Blue Ridge is one of the largest. Growing from a tiny rail stop on the Marietta and North Georgia line, today's historic district still holds the 19th century charm of an old whistle stop.
This Aska Road scene takes in a beautiful pastureland, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills. The picturesque drive winds through the Aska Adventure Area, and a countryside where expansive home sites have utilized pasturelands of dwindling rural farms. Following along the fringes of the Chattahoochee Forest, it's easy to fall in love with this pleasant mix of rural small towns, beautiful mountains, and its easy living farmland atmosphere.
Within a short drive from Atlanta, Blue Ridge and Aska Road can be a sure cure for the hectic hustle and bustle of the big city, snarled traffic and frustrated drivers.
