Scenic USA - Oregon Beverly Beach |

Enough can't be said about Oregon's coastline and its long string of public beaches and parklands. Residents and visitors are so fortunate to have access to 67 state and national recreational areas, scenic viewpoints, and state parks. Covering 365 miles, the coastline is one breathtaking photo op after another. Cozy small towns, picturesque lighthouses and rugged headlands only add to the charm and splendor to the coast.
This broad sandy beach scene at Beverly Beach is the exception along this coastline rather than the rule. Oregon's foothills of the Coastal Mountain Range extend outward to the ocean, creating a diverse terrain that changes mile by mile. In some places, evergreen forests extend right down to sheer drop-offs, while the massive sand dunes of Oregon Dunes NRA roll on for miles.
Beverly Beach, one of the most popular stops along the coast, extends from the headlands of Otter Rock south to Yaquina Head. To the east of U.S. Route 101, a large forest-sheltered campground snuggles up to Spencer Creek. From the campground a convenient walk-way leads under the highway and out this inviting beach scene. There’s plenty of room for beachcombing and building sandcastles on Beverly Beach.
