Here, Utah's Canyonlands National Park Sunrise Glow - Mesa Arch, Canyonlands National Park, Utah visitors will find two very accessible Districts, Island in the Sky and the Needles. The Island in the Sky, a point of land separated by the Green and Colorado rivers, is located nearby the city of Moab. These two converging rivers have managed to create the incredible gorges which spawned the name Canyonlands.
One of the most popular sites on the Island, and one of the easiest hikes to get to, is Mesa Arch. Here you'll find a great example of nature's handiwork, a gaping hole in a sandstone fin. After a close-up inspection of this arch, a view through the opening reveals incredible views of Utah's canyonlands below. Perched high above White Rim Canyon Road, Arch Photographers - Mesa Arch, Canyonlands National Park, Utah this enchanting sunrise view is considered unequaled by many. Found about an hour's drive from Moab, you have to work on your timing to see this enchanting view at sunrise.
Mesa Arch is an easy half mile hike, and because of this short distance and popularity it would be a rare occurrence to witness the sunrise here by yourself. But the only sounds heard from a reverent crowd would be whispers, oohs and ahhs. There are more arches in Canyonlands, but make sure this one is included on your must see list.
